In Loving Memory

Jaxson's great grandmother on my side (and my last remaining grandparent) passed away 2 weeks ago. She had been fighting abdominal cancer (on the endometrial lining) for almost 2 years. She fought the cancer bravely until the end... and we were fortunate enough to have her stay with us the weekend before she passed away. She absolutely adored Jaxson and I think she really enjoyed spending time with him those last few days. We are going to miss her greatly, she was so kind, loving, thoughtful, and generous. When my grandma talked with Jaxson he was always enthralled with what she was saying, she was ever the teacher. On Gymboree days when we would visit her, Jaxson would light up the room when he came in.... even if she wasn't feeling so well. I am so happy that he was able to spend time with her, and she with him.

Grandma, we will miss you... we love you!

I am so saddened to hear about your grandmother -- I remember her from visits when we were in high school! I know you will miss her dearly. Hugs to your entire extended family. That is amazing that she was almost 95 (if I did the math right) -- what an amazing lady and a great life!
