In honor of Father's Day last week, Jaxson wants to tell everyone about his daddy...

When I was in the NICU, my daddy came to see me every day which was no small task. After work he had to drive from The Woodlands to my hospital which was 40 minutes away and then drive home to Humble at night... another 40 minutes of driving. As you can see, he was very tired! When the nurses played lullaby music by my isolette, we both fell asleep fast!
My daddy was the first one to give me a bath... mom was pumping!

When mom was pumping (or when it was his "turn" to kangaroo) my daddy kept me warm and cozy, I got to hear his heartbeat and feel his fuzzy chest hair. A lot of the time while we cuddled in the NICU he read me stories. My favorite was "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" ... which my mom now has memorized (yes, it was read a lot)
See?!... We still read it a lot! Now I can see the pictures and I like to reach for the book because it looks good to eat.

My daddy loves to take me swimming
I love my daddy! I get so excited when he comes home from work, I squeal and smile! He is so thoughtful, on the weekends, he lets my mommy sleep in (because she still gets up with me at night) and we get some quality time together. My daddy works very hard so that my mommy can stay with me during the day. He takes me for walks and jogs with me in the stroller... we play peek-a-boo and "soccer" too. He holds me and loves to introduce me to new people... I think he is a very proud daddy! He also cooks for my mommy and rubs her feet a lot. When mommy needs a break or has to go somewhere, he gives me a bottle of mom's milk and we cuddle. My daddy is a wonderful guy, and I hope to be just like him someday!
See?!... We still read it a lot! Now I can see the pictures and I like to reach for the book because it looks good to eat.
