Last night when nursing Jaxson I noticed he was congested, which has happened before- I think it's milk that somehow gets up into his sinuses??? Anyway, it was worse last night and I didn't think much of it until he woke up at 4:30am and only nursed for 7 minutes (normally it's upwards of 20-30 minutes) and was still congested. So I took Jaxson to the doctor today and it appears to be a cold virus that he said is going around. There's not much we can do but wait (and love and cuddle) it out. He's been punky and had a little temp. of 99.6. Poor baby. Normally he loves to nurse and today he's been crying and avoiding it probably because he can hardly breathe! Maybe I'll try the steamy shower trick... I've heard that can help. Say a little prayer for Jaxson so he can knock the cold fast and he continues to eat... his weight was exactly the same as last week. (if not a little lower- and Dr. Penn said he probably won't have much of an appetite) Thank you!!! :)
Yesterday while crawling around the house, Jaxson got my "swim lesson" bag caught on his arm... it was cute, he was dragging it around for a while like he was on his way to teach lessons! - I teach swim lessons for one of Shawn's clients... it's good for me and it helps pay the bills (and allows for some retail therapy!)
