We've Moved!

I have a good excuse for not posting in the last several weeks... we've just moved to The Woodlands, a suburb north of Houston, about 40 minutes from where we used to live. So far, even despite the Huge Headache of moving... continuing to deal with closing on our house... and the lien... we love it! Shawn is only 15 minutes from work, as opposed to 40... and I am just down the street from the family whose son I tutor.

We were supposed to close on March 27th, but due to unforeseen circumstances, our buyers had to move it back to April 17th. Not the thing you want to hear after taking the risk and moving out before closing, but we're dealing. We've also thankfully had the lien Ranger Roofing put on our house removed by a judge. So thankfully we can now close and not have to pay $20,000.00 to do it! (If you have a lien on your property you can close but you have to buy some kind of bond worth 1.5 times the amount of the lien. Since Ranger Roofing thought we owed them $13,399.31 for doing NOTHING, our bond would have been about that much) So. Thank you Lord for blessing us with a wonderful attorney, realtor, Fox 26 news team, and judge! By the way, if you want more insight into the Ranger Roofing scandal, watch this:

As you can see we've definitely had our hands full lately and are looking forward to many months of no drama! Jaxson continues to grow and is talking up a storm! He loves to help mommy by putting his dirty clothes (and shoes... and books...) into the laundry hamper! He's too funny. His favorite activities are playing "outside" (which he loves to say) and going to the park. There are a million parks out here and we are loving it!

Smelling mama's spearmint plant... it's funny... Jaxson knows to smell flowers, therefore he smells all plants!
